"From where I stand... You're beautiful."

‎1 year has passed since more than 19,000 people were killed in Japan by a massive earthquake and tsunami. I will never forget waking up on 03/11/11 and watching in horror as entire cities and villages were leveled and then swept away by Mother Nature’s rage. The images of this day will never leave my mind and I will always remember. Many of my friends in Japan lost family, friends and a few lost …everything. What is incredible is how far the Japanese people have come since then. Where 10 feet of debris clogged the streets, now cars pass through. Where homes were leveled, new ones rise. Where thousands died, many more live on. To me, seeing the Japanese people come together in their darkest hour and save each other, showed me that humanity still existed. That day has also inspired me to make a difference in the world around me before I leave. May all of those lost on this tragic day R.I.P. and for those who push on, you are in my heart and thoughts. I love you all.
