"From where I stand, you're beautiful!"
“Put your hands in the airIf you hear me out there,I’ve been looking for you day and night.Shine a light in the dark,Let me see where you are,‘Cause I’m not gonna leave you behind. If I told you that you’re not aloneAnd I show you this is where you belong,Put your hands in the air one more time!”

“Put your hands in the air
If you hear me out there,
I’ve been looking for you day and night.
Shine a light in the dark,
Let me see where you are,
‘Cause I’m not gonna leave you behind.
If I told you that you’re not alone
And I show you this is where you belong,
Put your hands in the air one more time!”

HAPPY NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY Today, 11 October 2012, is the day we celebrate those who are out as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and many other sexualities, who stand as pillars in LGBT community. Those people who risk their reputation, jobs, family and sometimes even their lives to say “Yes I am Gay and I am not ashamed!” stand up to the hatred and show children, teens, young adults and even people into their adulthood that being a member of the LGBT world is something special and that there is hope for a better, more tolerant future. Today we thank those who show us that the bullying, the hate, the ignorance and the threats should not be the end of our dreams, they show us we must continue the fight on for our rights, for our families and for our future. Today, we send a strong message to those LGBT members who are still in the closet, hiding who they are. We hold out our hands and tell them that if they ever need help, we will gladly do whatever we can. We understand the pain and the confusion, but you are never alone!
Today, we celebrate a milestone for the LGBT community, on this day in 1987, the second National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights took place and showed that we will not back down. This is often known as the “Great March.”
Lastly, today we send an even stronger message to the homophobic community, we will not give in to the disgusting hatred and intolerance we face daily. We will battle on until equality is a reality and until every young Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender understands that this life is worth living, that giving up is not an option and that we will rise above!
To all of my friends and family who are LGBT, remember that we are not just fighting for ourselves, we are fighting for the young man in New York who is scared to admit his love, the young girl from California who feels she was born the wrong gender, the young girl in Alabama who cannot hold the hand of her lover in public and for the family in Florida who cannot seal their love officially because of the law. I am so proud of all of you. Much Love and stay strong!

This must end! We have lost too many good young men and women simply because they were bullied for being Homosexual, Transgender or other reasons. No one deserves this hell and I refuse to stand idle while others are bullied, self harmed or

face the thought of suicide. There are many reasons bullying exists but together, we can end it.

If you are in this position, PLEASE do not hesitate to get help. I am here for you and so are many others. Do not give up hope. ♥ I love you and stay strong ♥

I am very happy to announce that I am now working with students in my area as well as people high up in my local government to stop LGBT discrimination and give support to those LGBT adolescents who need it. It started off as an idea to add a Gay Pride/LGBT Support float to our local Independence Day parade, the idea escalated when our county’s spokesman began discussing this with me and talking about ways we can accomplish this. Lately, he and I have been talking about expanding our efforts to start a LGBT alliance in my city where anyone can come and get support and advice. I am also going to talk to the school board about adding “Sexual Orientation” to our anti-discrimination policy.
Our efforts will likely be opposed due to the conservative nature of my town, but I am determined to make Homosexual and Transgender people in my area understand that it gets better, things will change and that they can always come to us for the love and support they need. It is a honour to start this new project and I am committed to reaching out to those in need. Who knows where our organization will go, but if we can save just one life, any effort will be worth it.

The acronym is LGBT… LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER! There is nothing wrong with any of those. I am privileged enough to know several transgender people and I am honored to defend them. They are just like you and I. We are all creatures of this earth and our differences make us unique, not “nasty.” Nasty is when you send hateful things to people demeaning them for something they cannot help. I apologize to all transgender people who see this, it is disgusting that people are so judgmental! I support you 100%!

BREAKING NEWS According to the Associated Press, California lawmakers will vote Tuesday to ban “psychotherapy”, AKA Conversion Therapy, that is aimed at turning Homosexuals into Heterosexuals. The ban would be beneficial because this sort of therapy is often harmful and has led many LGBT people to self hatred and suicide. *NOTE* I want to say that a ban on this sort of activity is needed, if anything, therapy should be used to help homosexuals understand themselves, not to try and change the way they feel. There is nothing wrong with being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender (or any other sexuality). People need to be helped, not hurt when dealing with such a difficult thing as sexual orientation. Also, I want to say the photo below is EXTREMELY powerful.

Please join us tomorrow on April 20, 2012 in supporting the LGBT community and remembering all those lost to homophobia. We will be taking a vow of silence and wearing outfits showing support or pride on this day. Last year we had more than a dozen people participate and while that may not seem like many, it was a huge moment for LGBT students at our school. Thank you to those who helped out last year and I cannot wait to see all the purple and rainbows this year.
